The LAN is hosted by Esports Arena in Santa Ana, California from 21 January to 22 January 2017.[1]
The first 2 Invite teams, froyotech and Meat Market (former Circa eSports) were announced by b4nny on 1 December 2016, with at least 4 other teams joining them in the coming weeks.[2]
The original Invite prize pool provided by Esports Arena sits at $2000, but with sponsorship from Marketplace.TF,[3] now the prize pool for Invite is updated to $7000, with Esports Arena looking to raise the prize pool even higher through additional sponsors and crowd funding.[4]
Fundraisers
By December 2016, several fundraisers are being held in accordance to Rewind LAN.
Esports Arena's Rewind LAN prize pool crowdfunding is being held to further raise the amount of prize pool for the Invite and Open tournament. It is being run currently through YouStake and if a backer donated $1, YouStake will match the donation with another $1, bringing the prize pool up to an additional $10000, making the total a possible $17000.
ESA Rewind LAN Prize Pool Fundraiser
On the December 11th 2016, former Crowns coach/Demoman kaidus announced the formation of a new team, with a TF2-exclusive brand called Se7en, comprised from the core of Crowns post-ETF2L Season 25, with spudd and kaptain being replaced by alle and AMS. In accordance to the formation of the new team, kaidus also announced their fundraiser to attend the LAN with several perks being offered.

On December 21st 2016, Jasmine Tea captain/Demoman Paulsen announced their fundraiser to go to Rewind LAN to represent the Oceania scene once again. With several perks being offered and the swap from medic Dave to mike (the Australian, not the Welshmen), the team is eager to win and finally break their 4th place Insomnia LAN curse.

On December 30th 2016, Street Hoops eSports captain/Pocket showstopper announced they are attending the LAN. Also with the announcement, the team is also running a fundraiser to help with their costs of attending the LAN, through showstopper's Twitch Donation with several perks offered and a Teespring campaign of a custom made Street Hoops eSports t-shirt.
